This is a thinly-specified Oriental version of higher specification, European, telescopic ladders I have used for several years. In the hands of a tradesman, making frequent use of this item, it probably won’t last long. The concept of a folding version, attracted me to it for use in accessing tiled suspended ceilings for survey work. The inclusion of a stabiliser bar is excellent. However, assembling this bar was not mechanically sound. Tightening the through-bolts means the lack of a spacer within the diameter of the main tubes allowed the barrels to become crushed out of shape, due to the slots cut out to take the bar. The carry case is just a joke and the strap is little help. Not up to the job at all. Carrying the folded ladder is an uncomfortable task. The lack of carrying device and the depth of the folded ladder means one’s arm is at a considerable angle from the body. The bottom edges of the treads cut heavily into the fingers. If you really do want such a ladder, get a trolley! Use a non-folding version and keep a stepladder handy for middle-of-the-room access moments. Trust me, I’m an asbestos surveyor!

|Flat pack convenience,
The only reason I am not giving it five stars is due to its weight(weights in excess of 13 kilos) and due to its weight, it is making it a bit bulky during opening and closing.
For those people that have mentioned about “watching out for your fingers while closing it”, all I have to say is that there are plenty of health and safety warnings on it.

|telescopic ladder,
A usefull ladder to carry all the time in the back of the van. A handy hint though, when using as a step ladder, always take the top rungs up first. If you take it up from the bottom, the top rungs will suddenly shoot up if you rest your knees on them, and you could end up with your head in a bucket.
Throw the bag away as well, it’s a waste of time.
Would like to see the rungs lock when they’re in the rest possition, but apart from that, It’s a good product at a good price.
